The crisis in Haiti is, and will continue to be for some time to come, a situation that we need to pay attention to. The role of government aid, and the method with which it is applied is worth study and documentation. The role of the media in documentation and the creation of a narrative is constantly evolving. As our short attention span begins to wane, it becomes increasingly important to pay attention to the details. Of the many lasting lessons from Katrina, I feel the importance of continuing attention and documentation is among the most important.
